Akai Professional has announced today the new hardware controller hardware MPC Touch, that aims to revolutionize the approach to music production and groove-making by integrating a touch-screen display with an hardware that features 16 drum pads and an audio interface 2×2.
The 7″ multi-touch display allows you to add effects, stretch waveforms, draw MIDI events, regulate envelopes, cut samples and accurately set the controls using just fingertips.
The hardware also integrates an X/Y controller, named XYFX, to control effects in real time, with a functionality similar to Korg Kaoss Pad.
The controller needs to be connected to a computer.
The Akai MPC touch will be available starting from November 15, 2015, with price being set at $799.
