ABLETON LIVE REVIEW AND DOWNLOAD
A really cute software for djs and producers to mix and arrange stuff in real time, producing original and nice-sound music. The idea behind it's quite simple. Providing different tracks you can mess through sound-clips combining them in real time, editing EQ and a bunch of good effects. Featuring a double-view GUI, one looking like "reason" and the other like "cubase", makes it really easy mixing a song in quite a few time, allowing almost all kinds of improvisation. Recording every single step you take in editing and pouring your tunes with ableton effects! Easy even to program with drag-and-drop system to import and export all your ideas, no more bolw-minding processes involving 16 different programs to master your music...and if you want to harden your life, ableton live works with all the most popular music appz like cubase itself, rewire, pro-tools, sonar, etc. A very powerful 32bit\192Khz multitrack recording and complete MIDI sequencing make this software a really complete tool to give a musical body to what floats up in your brain as the sun goes down and psychedelic lights begin to glimp (this phrase is re-mixed with ableton, yeah I need a rest!).

Actually, nothing new under the sun...as you have a MIDI interface to connect to your PC, here it comes the party! Ableton Live allows you to control real time your music via MIDI, becoming a real musical instrument giving back to DJs the authenticity of mixing live a song which could never be the same, destroying the bounds of old-skool DJ set! In the end it will become your workstation in which you can collect all your synths, which once used to be carried around by your unhealthy and tired back, and blow da house whith just a PC and a MIDI controller...what it takes to get the party started! Just a pair of things before starting to Kraftwerk yourself...first of all be sure your PC's not too old. Ableton's site declares you just need a 600Mhz CPU and a 512Mb RAM but they are not enough even to play your door-house-ring-bell! As you're trying to shuffle between your clips your PC would surelly whimp out if it's not "strong enough". Second face of this painful medal is...don't you ever expect to make music before knowing full well all ableton's features. Starting is very simple and dangerous, since your first time you'll be able to get something which could sound kinda cute, but it's all an illusion. In fact everybody gets the same old songs as they get close to this software, feeling very proud of themeselves. I picture out a competition between ableton noobs in which everyone brought the same sounds...weird ain't it? Don't be scare though, bring the beat into your hands and rule the world and, please, reserve me a ticket of your first worldwide performance!
